Subprocessors
Last updated October 16, 2026
These companies help DM DESK run the service. The table says what each one does and what information it handles. Under our Data Processing Addendum, the ones that handle your customers' personal information for us may use it only to provide their service to us.
12 providers are listed.
Notice of a new provider. We email the account owner before a new provider starts handling your customers' personal information for us, as our Data Processing Addendum says. If you object, you may cancel before it starts.
Scroll the table sideways to see what each provider handles and where.
| Provider | What it does | Information it handles | Location |
|---|---|---|---|

| OpenAI | Turns voice messages in website chat into text and reads replies aloud | Voice recordings and the text of replies | United States and other regions |
| Supabase | Database and sign in | What the service stores, such as accounts, business information, conversations, contacts, leads and the orders built in chat | United States |
| Vercel | Hosts the website, dashboard and chat. Counts page views on our public pages and a fixed list of events, such as a button click or a checkout being started | Requests to the website, dashboard and chat, and what they carry | United States |
| Stripe | Subscription billing | Your business's billing details. No information about your customers | United States and other regions |
| Resend | Sends our emails, such as account emails and alerts | Email addresses and what each email says. An alert can include a customer's name, contact details and recent messages | United States |
| Twilio | Sends text alerts to owners and staff who opted in | Their mobile numbers and the text of each alert, which can include a customer's name and the items in an order | United States |
| Apple | Delivers push notifications to the DM DESK app | The device token and the text of each alert, which can include a customer's name and contact details | United States and other regions |
| Sentry | Error monitoring on our servers | Error messages and technical details. These can include internal record numbers, the address of the request that failed, and short pieces of a reply the assistant drafted | United States |
| Cloudflare | Bot check on the form that builds a demo and on our booking form | The IP address and browser signals of the person filling in the form. No information about your customers | Global network |
| Address suggestions when a business enters its address | The address being typed, and the IP address and browser details of the person typing. No information about your customers | Global network | |
| GitHub | Hosts our source code | Our code and its notes. Some tests and notes quote the words of a few messages customers sent, without their names or contact details | United States and other regions |
Location is where the information is stored or processed for us, taken from the provider's own page or from our own settings. For Vercel it is the region our servers are set to. A request first reaches Vercel's network at a point near the visitor, which can be outside the United States.
Platforms you connect
These are not our subprocessors. You connect them yourself, and they handle what the connection needs under their own terms with you. DM DESK works within the access you approve.
| Platform | What DM DESK does with it |
|---|---|
| Meta (Instagram) | DM DESK receives the messages sent to your Instagram account and sends replies through it. It can also read your own post captions. |
| Shopify | DM DESK reads your products and stock and builds links to your own store's cart. |
| Square | DM DESK reads your menu and locations, creates checkout links with the order in them, and checks whether those orders were paid. A pickup order carries the name and phone number the customer gave. |
| Clover | Not available to connect yet. |
Our own tools
These run DM DESK itself.
- Google Workspace. Our own email. If you or one of your customers emails us, that email is kept there. While we set up an account before its owner has a login, its alert emails can come to our own inbox.
- Calendly. Books setup calls. It gets what you enter when you book one, such as your name and email. On dm-desk.com/book, its calendar opens with your name, email and business website filled in, so Calendly gets them when it opens.
DM DESK is operated by DM Desk LLC, a California limited liability company. See also our Privacy Policy and Security pages.
