Before you start: what you need
A short checklist of what to have ready before you set up DM DESK.
Written steps, 7 steps
Steps
- Pick a plan on dm-desk.com/pricing. There is no free trial. Pay monthly, or yearly to save 20%. Cancel anytime from Billing; your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Sign up with your business name, an email and a password of at least 8 characters.
- For Instagram, switch your account to a professional account (Business or Creator) and have its login ready.
- For website chat, make sure you, or whoever runs your site, can add one line of code, a WordPress plugin or a line in your Shopify theme.
- Have your menu, products or price list ready: on your website, as a PDF or as photos. If you use Shopify or Square, you connect it instead.
- Have your address, public phone number, opening hours and the answers to the questions customers ask most.
- Prefer help? Book a free setup call.
Good to know
- Starter includes one channel: Instagram DMs or website chat. On Pro, the second channel is an add on. Growth includes both.
- One Instagram account can be connected to one DM DESK business at a time.
- Some website builders let you add code only on paid plans. Square Online, Wix and Squarespace have their own video.
